A rather different take on Blair Athol.
This 11-year-old lightly peated single malt brings together 1st Fill Rum and Ex-Islay barrels, creating an intriguing combination of sweetness, tropical fruit and gentle smoke.
Brown sugar and grilled pineapple meet smoky vanilla, pepper and earthy malt, with the peat remaining restrained rather than overpowering.
Nose: Gentle peat smoke, brown sugar, tropical fruit, vanilla and toasted oak.
Palate: Sweet rum, smoky vanilla, grilled pineapple, black pepper and earthy malt.
Finish: Long and warming with light smoke, caramel sweetness and drying oak.
