This 14-year-old Benrinnes has been matured in a 1st Fill Oloroso Bodega Butt, delivering the kind of deep, dark sherry character that works brilliantly with the distillery's naturally weighty spirit.
Christmas cake, dates and roasted nuts lead into treacle, espresso, dried figs and warming spice.
Nose: Christmas cake, dates, roasted hazelnuts, orange peel and dark chocolate.
Palate: Rich sherry, treacle, dried figs, espresso, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: Full-bodied, rich and lingering with dark fruit, oak spice and dark chocolate.
